Hello everyone,
I am a new member looking to buy a 996 c4 cab. I currently found 2 cars
1. 2002,(red on black 18 Techart formulas, which is very rare for Europe) 10000 miles, all the options i need.
2. 2003 black, 13000 miles with the same options.
Both cars are in mint condition and had a PPI at the porsche dealer in Germany.
The 2003 car is 10K$ more expensive.
Is it worth going for the 2003 MY, or the only thing that is important for a 911 is good technical condition and the MY is insignificant?
P.S. Hope that in 2-3 weeks will post the pics of one of the cars in snowy Moscow.

Not worth the extra $$. In addition, I think that the '03 has the MOST fiber optic system in the car. So if you want to change out the radio, it is a major pain vs the '02 which still uses standard electronic cables.

I believe the only difference in a 2003 (over a 2002) is the MOST system on the stereo.
It is good advice to buy the "newest Porsche" you can afford, but 10K is a lot to jump one year. Drive both and buy the one you like most.

The techart formulas come additionally as summer wheels.
I can't test drive it since the car is in Germany and I am in Russia, so it's sort of a trust the dealer and look at the pictures purchase

I think 10K is too much for the 03 as well,....but the ext. color of red vs black will be the clincher for most, I'd guess...but if you like either of those colors, I'd go with the 02. Looking forward to those pictures. Good luck.
P.S: Just saw the picture,...looks awesome. I am not in to bright colors for cars as I think they don't age well,...but, I know some others would'nt be caught dead in a boring silver/black car. So other than the subjective color opinion, the 02 which even comes with a techart would be the clear choice.
