Is $90K ok for an 02TT...with 1037 miles?
A new turbo is not in the cards but the local dealer has an 02 on the lot with an incredible 1037 miles. They have verified the mileage, clean carfax. It's guards red with a grey interior, Nav, Litronics, Bose, 6 speed. Pretty much sat in storage all it's life
02's with reasonable mileage go for $75k- Less?
So would I ge getting an essentially new turbo for $90K (or negotiated less...)?
Kelly's bluebook says it should go for $90-91K- probably based on the mileage. This sounds like a silly price for an 02, but jeez, is it really out of line? I would trade in my 03 C2 with 15760 miles (it's paid for)
What do you guys think?

I'm guessing it is 6yr/100K CPO?
The options sound a bit light for the price, my first reaction would have been mid to high 80's.....so $90K CPO out the door (fully serviced....it's going to need brake/oil fluids changed due to time, not mileage, check the tires for rot/flat spotting) is not that far out of line.
1037 miles.....not I don't feel so bad having only 5011 miles on my 01.
You may want to consider posting in the 996TT forum to get a few more opinions.
Best of luck

Warranty, how could i have forgotten to ask that question? Do they even give a CPO on a 4 year old car?

Yes, they will CPO that car.
It likely won't need much, based on your description.
A CPO is worth $1800-$2200 and it's from Porsche.
There have been a couple of threads recently (Cayenne and 996TT forum) regarding aftermarket warranty comapanies that were declared insolvent and seized by the local state....some folks were out $4-$7K.....gone.....nothing to show for it.
So a Porsche CPO is a nice to have.

yeah, i'd only take the car w cpo and i'd only pay 80-83k tops. you're better off getting a 10-20k mi car with a bigger discount if i were you. that's the key reason for buying used so you benefit from depreciation.
