Default Illuminated door sills

Just saw how cool these look on the 997. Can anyone provide a definitive answer whether this can be done on a 996?

We had a thread on this a couple of months ago - do a search, there's some good info there...

Not my cup o' tea, either. They remind me of the license plate frames that have the "moving lights" on them.

I already have the stainless steel plates, but I don't think this look as bad as some of you are claiming.

P.S. I had already searched the previous thread but the only useful response was that it might be available through TechArt.

It looks a little too Mercedes to me and not sporty at all. And like mentioned above, it does seem like those neon license plate holders. Seems like the next step would be to put neon under the car. But if you must have them, here you go:

Alternatively, just do a search on 'Porsche illuminated door sills'. You'll find tons of hits.

My problem is just that the colour is atrocious, it might as well be "ricer blue." If it was just a simple classy outline in the signature Porsche interior colour, maybe, but these just seem silly. But that being said, I don't even like the stainless sills on a light car, no contrast, I'd rather have black ones with silver writing - a dark car would be another story and would probably look a lot better.

Not my style either. I do like stainless plates on a dark car - wish I had them, but not worth the $$ - other mods to spend it on!!
