Doesn't suprise me at all. At the beginning on his stats page he indicated his Miata weighed around 2,000 lbs and has 250 hp (at the wheels).

That's not bad.....

Add in the fact that half of those guys looked like they were out for a Sunday drive (does the word "Apex" mean anything to these guys)....

Next thing you know you've got a video of a Miata kick'n butt.

I've got video of my car (2.7 Boxster - mostly stock) getting "the point" and passing a 996TT at Blackhawk. However, I would never suggest that my car was faster!!

Heh-heh. Nice vid. Unfortunately, the first part gives it all away. The 911's were way off the line. Starting turn-in from middle of the track, several feet off the apex.... c'mon. Old boy had fun driving with a bunch of guys who were out for a sunday drive.

Pretty easy. The Miata is claiming 8 lbs per hp. That's better than a 993TT, a 993RSCS and better than my race car. Not to mention the fact that the guy can drive. Looks like fun to me. Did it say anywhere what times he was running?

The guy in the Miata may have allot more experience than the other drivers.... If the experience of the other drivers were known then we could judge accurately.

Anyways, I enjoyed the video.
