That look doesn’t do much for me. Also, be aware that Bob did this mod to his Porsche and it caused two engines to self-destruct. Need I say more?

Sorry, Bob, I just couldn't help myself!

It is not for everyone, but I guess as long as you like it , it shouldnt matter what others think.

Yeh thats fine. Not to overdone. My first thought was that it looks a little 997ish.

Not my cup of tea.... But then again, I tend to have bland taste. I don't put salt or butter on my popcorn, eat baked potatoes like apples, and eat my rice plain. The "plainer" the better for me.

I'm not a huge fan, but I don't consider it "ricerish" or anything like that.

Looks cool. Almost like it could be a 2007 model look.

I think they look pretty cool, especially since the lights on the 996 are SOOO big.

Would those affect the light beam(s) in any way?

I think they would look better if they blended with the car better, instead of being able to see the outline of it so clearly- makes it look like an add-on instead of integrated.

you know I don't know either...just put them on...and actually considering to upgrade my front to the 2002 version.

I have been looking at it all day and can't make up my mind.....I kind of like it, but kind of don't.....I have to walk around the car for at least a week or so, before I can make up my mind...but thanks for all the replies!!

they don't affect the beams in any way....just took the P out in the dark...to verify.....but when I attached them they fit like a glove.

I didn't really like it on Bob's car, and I think I like it even less on yours since it has even more "cutouts", sorry guy. However, that being said, I have to say I LOVE the rest of your car, it's simply breathtaking.

I like the headlights on the 1999-2001 996. I prefer them to the "facelift" headlights. Plus, they have a nice pedigree... the GT1.
