Nicolaas, post a few more pictures outside in the daylight and also farther away from the car to give us some different views.

I like it the one recommendation I would have is to pull out the amber inside your lights turn signal and use the appropriate bulbs that will make it look even nicer. Renntech has a how to article on how to remove the amber and I have done it without too much difficulty but unfortunately I could not find the link to it.

I just never really liked the head lights on the 996....love the 997 headlights...
Well, if you didn't want our honest opinion, you shouldn't have asked for feedback! You could have just posted the pics and say something like "I really like the look of the light covers!" Then we would have been honest, but not "brutally honest!"

All that really matters is that you like them. If so, then keep them!

Never been of a fan of those things...

But like everyone's said, if you like them, keep them! You look at your car eveyday, we don't

Sorry, I'm not a fan of that mod. I think it looks better on black than on other colors, but I still like the OEM look better.

The holes for the headlight washers are really big, they will also look better when you get rid of the amber. I have the Strosek covers on mine. I'm kind of ambivalent about them now. When the 996 came out I HATED the way it looked. When it was time for me to get a a new 911 I was all set to get a 993 Targa ( I had a MY82 SC Targa ). Then I drove a 996 and saw how slick the cab version is w/the windscreen, but still couldn't get over the looks. My salesman showed me some pics of 996s that Strosek had done w/the headlight bezels and I was sold. It was the first mod I did. Now I like the early 996 headlights ( even more so then the turbo lights on narrow bodies ), they've grown on me. Do whatever you like, I'm not into bling bling wheels and spoilers - to each their own. Anyway here's a pic of the Stroseks on mine.

Wow, Rob, those look really nicely integrated. How do they attach to the car? Are they glued to the headlight glass?

Yea, you just pop the headlights out and glue them on, they came w/the glue.
