will the car see track time? do you want more 'ease' of driving than on the edge performance? can you tolerate a hard suspension for street/daily driving? can you tolerate rattles?

if you answered yes to any of those questions, then the GT3 is your dream come true.

If no, then the Turbo is your best bet.

The GT3 is fast, very very fast, and possibly the best handling porsche ever. Full stop. It is a car that you will never outgrow in terms of ability unless you're name is Walter Rohl.

The TURBO is more tame and more suited to street driving than the GT3. It won't brake ur back or drive you crazy with rattles and will have more creature comforts.

I have to run, but someone else can fill you in on the specifics.

either way, you won't be dissapointed.

2 totally different cars. If you want an @ss haulin GT cruiser for the streets then the TT is your pick. If you are going to be spending some serious time on the track and want the best track car Porsche has produced for us then the GT3 is your choice.

IMHO, a very simple choice. It just depends on what duty it will serve.....track or street.

the car would not be used for commuting and mainly street, i would do some track time, but not on a weekly basis

why don't Porsche just offer a choice of 2 or 4 wheel drive for the standard Turbo? its actually annoying me

how much better is the standard TT suspension compared to ROW M030 for the C2?

the other option is I just supercharge my existing car

GT2 will fit the bill. Get the best of both. The GT3 is a great car but not for everyone. Drive both and do not discount how much you "wished" GT3 was a little quieter and the lip did not it the road surface if not carefull. If that is an issue before buying it, it will cause you to sell it early.

If the non- performance issues do not matter.. then the GT3 is the car. I have to work and the rain never stops up here, so I can only get the car out 14-20 times a year. I would buy the GT3 again if I could only get it out 5-10.

Going back to the suspension, the stock TT one, is it better or worse than ROW M030?

The stock TT suspension is weak. Go with x73 or after market (PSS9, MOTON, etc.)

I never enjoyed the way a TT handled. The car is very heavy and add to that the AWD with a heavier steering effort than the C2. The car does not feel light on its feet like a well tuned C2. It does go very quickly, but does not feel fast in stock trim. The power is subtle. It's a great GT that will comfortably eat up the miles on a highway.

The GT3 is everything else the TT isn't.

More power = get the TT

Better handling = get the GT3

Two excellent cars. But, as stated by all, each is a compromise, biased towards a particular need or want.

Why dont you just charge your c2, you know the car and would be cheaper to mod yours then buy a TT. Wouldnt you like pulling beside TT and pull on him ??

Buy a TT and take the front drive stuff off.....and you have a poor man's GT2.

Or go buy a 930 Turbo, put a K27 on it and have all the fun you can imagine. Can be done for less than $30k.

I would guess my next will be a TT. If I lived in warm weather climate I would go with the GT3, but alas I need the AWD system.

I think I'd go for a GT3.

I used to always want a TT, but lately I've been lusting for a GT3. It's just an excellent car, and is still very fast. It'll handle much better and be more fun than a TT, but of course not quite so comfortable. There is a cool video of some Japanese car magazine show that was testing a bunch of supercars, and the GT3 suprisingly hung right with the F430 in high speed acceleration.

Maybe get a GT3 and put some nice coil overs on it, so you can set it for comfort when driving to work in it everyday, then go to hard track settings on the weekend.
