2 hands on the wheel for performance handling. That's what they were thinking.

A cruise control light which doesn't actually tell you whether the cruise control is on or not.

A worthless analog speedo.

A digital speedo in the wrong place, off to the side.

No sound system. Oh, I forgot, these is supposed to be one but it just makes static.

I have cupholders, with the sound advice in he owner's manual to not use them while driving. They are nearly worthless.

Gearbox with way too long a throw (yes I know I can fix that, but Porsche should have done it right to begin with).

The fact that 997 Turbo's will be more than $50K.

Yeah yeah yeah.. we've heard that before. It's if some people think that owning a Porsche means that you will no longer desire a cup of Starbucks or maybe grabbing an In-and-Out combo meal on the way home.

I think it's funny that some of the hates are some of my favorite things. I love the digital speedo and the location and I love the fact that there are no cup holders.

The thing i hate the most... the fact that no matter where i park it, someone in a beater HAS to park 4 inches from it. Does Porsche know that their cars attract beaters? Is it magnetic or something????

No tilt steering wheel - I'm a tall dude, and once I'm in, I'm cool, but getting in and out makes me look like a dork. Especially at a busy gas station, where everyone looks up as you cruise in, then you have to mangle yourself to get out.

I used have to have to use a firm push with the entire palm of my hand to latch my trunk. Then, the latch malfunctioned so that I was forced to use the DIY from RennTech to repair it.

Then, I reinstalled it according to same DIY .... and now I latch my trunk with a light press of my fingers on the latch (or anywhere else, but I like that location).

Give it a try .... it appears from casual observation that many, many 996 hood latches are simply out of vertical adjustment.

The ease of obtaining rock chips - I guess it's unavoidable with the shape of this car, while being low to the ground, and running into small things coming up from the road at speeds from 80 to 100 mph - a small price to pay for such an amazing ride...
