Default road splatter pickup

I drove my C2 on the same road that has some construction on it as I do my daily driver. I notice that the C2 sounds like it is being bombarded by pebbles on the undercarrige and sides while my daly driver does not;... is it because the C2 tires are wider & sticker? Also there is black splatter (tar?) on the sides of my C2 now.. have you guys noticed this as well?

Yes the wide tires definately pick up the rocks easily. I try to look up ahead if I see a truck that might be dropping rocks, I hang way back so I don't not put my car through the nicks and dents those damn rocks would create. That black tar can happen anywhere. Hopefully you have a good coat of wax on so the tar will come right off.
