Edmunds seems to be more conservative.

Go with no more than $40,500.

Edmunds would add about $1,700 if the condition were outstanding instead of clean. Outstanding means "Exceptional mechanical, exterior and interior condition; requires no reconditioning." Clean means "Some normal wear but no major mechanical or cosmetic problems; may require limited reconditioning."

So that price might be pretty good if the condition was really good.

These prices are just plain BS as far as CLEAN 02' go for....unless you ARE a dealer yourself. $40K for a clean 22K mile 2002 ???? ROFL !!!!!

Dude, even if the 02' C2 you're looking at is sparsly equipped...you're doing REALLY good @ $42.5* BUY IT.

....I've recently been offered $43K for my 02 from a *dealer.* And my coupe has 35K miles on it. Its Basalt black on gray, full leather and does have every option in the book (expect for nav.)....mint condition. So you buying that car for *wholesale* at 42.5. Asking him to lower it anymore is just plain ignorant and he may blow you off completely. ...good luck with your purchase.

I agree, 42.5 with 22000 miles is an excellent price.

$42,500 is only $2,000 more. If you really like the car then it's worth it.

Was the Dealer going to buy your car or was that a tradein price? I have a friend who tried to sell his moderately equipped low mileage '02 996 to a Dealer and they only offered him $38K. He eventually sold the car himsely for $43K.
