Suspension Identification
Does anyone know an easy way to identify your suspension. I am the 2nd owner of my car and the factory stickers do not show the sport chassis (030). But the car seems lower and I have trouble with some driveways so I don't think it is stock.
Are the springs a different color, or is there some other easy way to identify with removing?
TIA

If your sticker does not say 030, you should have the standard suspension. However, if you know the car is lowered, it could have anything in terms of springs and/or shocks. Usually, aftermarket springs like H&R or Eibach have their own identification inscribed including the brand name. Take a look at the coils and see what you find.

I'm not sure you can do this without a lift or tire removal, but look for a series of color coded stripes (3) 2 on the bottom coil and 1 at the top. Bottom stripes indicate different Porsche springs , either 030 (green/white?) or standard. Top stripe identifies the tolerance group.
How low is the car? My std '00 was about 26.5" at the top of the wheelwell, and the RoW 030 sits at about 26" even or slightly less. <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

Well the front is about 26.5" and the rear is about 26".
I'll try and pull a wheel (or 2) in the next couple days. THANKS!
