Anyone here use a Valentine One radar detector?
I have a model that's around 5 years old. The adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter is too long so the detector isn't working right. Is there a smaller adapter that fits into the 996 cigarette lighter?
Thanks for your replies, I feel naked without my radar detector!

Also, you can trade up to the latest version of the V-1 with complete details on their website.
Though I use K40 system in my Porsche, my other vehicles have V-1 units, both of which are the latest versions.

Eric,
How does the V1 compare to the K 40? I've been wanting a concealed detector for my 996, K40 seems to be the best choice. I currently use the Passport 8500 which I'm happy with, just tired of plugging it in all the time.

I use the K40 system (with lazer diffuser) in my '99 c4 coupe - I like it because its very discreet. However, I use the passport 8500 window mounted detector in my two other cars - it is a better detector and provides more advance warning with more info. I understand passport is now making an indash version of the 8500, coupled with their own lazer diffuser - If I were adding an in dash detector now, I'd give that serious consideration.
