Default HELP! How do the A pillars come off?

Well its time to do some of the Carbon Upgrades, and I need to replace the front defroster vents(NOT SIDES) and I am curious to know if anyone knows how these things come off. I think ou need to pull them off, like everything else in out cars , but any advise would be great..

From the RennTech DIY forum:

1. Remove the sun visor. It simply pulls out
2. Use the small flat screw driver to pry of plastic cover on visor base. When removed, you will see the Hex bolt heads
3. Use the 4 mm Hex wrench key to remove both bolts. Hold on to the part, it has washers on the other side and can get fall off if not careful.
4. Now pull off the A-pillar cover.

Hey Vulture..let me know when you plan to do that...I was planning on doing the same. My remote is so sporatic and when it does work I pretty much have to have the key a foot away from the car

Maybe you, Tim, and I can get together.

The quote from the RennTech DIY, that I used above, is the first stage of a complete description on how to do exactly that.

The author based his DIY on the Porsche TSB. It only takes a few minutes after the A pillar trim is removed. I tried it with very good results. I suggest you use either the DIY, TSB, or both .... as the Porsche instructions are very specific on the length to which the antenna should be cut.

Thanks for refreshing my memory, I found the DIY and will attempt to do it this week or weekend.
