Cool

I started this discussion thread back in March regarding headers, cats, exhaust, UNICHIP, etc. I've had gains of 36hp and 37ftlbs torque. Impressive numbers matched by performance. Let me know if you have any questions. -Mike

Stem - 36hp cost about $6000. The UNICHIP was the most expensive part of the upgrades. Mike - the powerkit has been installed, however, the engine has not yet been installed in the car! This has been a long project. I was supposed to have the car back today, however, the body shop won't give the car back to me until it is perfect. I'll post the post powerkit DYNO charts as soon as possible.
Thanks,

Wow, the Cargraphic Cats are $1,650 alone and just a bypass is $750.

Cool

The Cargraphic cats are worth every penny! These 100 cell race cats come with the mounting holes for the 02 sensor. I've seen others that don't have the 02 sensor hole, this can be a PIA. I attribute the majority of my HP gains to the cats!

Give Herschel a call at Cargraphic USA, 1-732-826-1002!

What do you think would be the result of just putting the Cargraphic cats on, and doing nothing else??

IMO the cats should be installed to supplement a less restrictive exhaust system. I don't think you'll see noticable gains with just the cats! The same is true for headers; unless you are planning to install the headers, cats and exhaust do not expect to see or feel any radical gains. Changing the exhaust might change the way the car sounds but the HP gain is minute.

I am told the Supercharger is any week now. I spoke to the owner a couple of weeks ago. He is still driving the only 996 with the SC in it and I believe he told me he had 8,000 miles on it with no problem.

I am sure it will be well publicized on this board and funcars when a few of us get them isntalled!
