Can anyone tell me the differance between Bridgestone S02 18" N1 and N2. just purchsed full set and noticed I have got N1 not N2. N1 does not appear on any Porsche list but N2 does. Have I got the wrong tires ? Surely N1 means something ?
Tires seem noisey after Cont Sport contacts. Is this normal ?Thanks 996 C2

N2 is just a newer generation version of the N1. You can use either one without any problems. I'm not sure why it should be noticeably noisier than the Conti but it is possible.

I have SO2's on my 99 C2 and they are considerably noisier than previous Michelins or Contis. When coming top a smooth stop they sound like they are lugged tires. For street tires they are excellent on the track, very progressive. Around 110kmh (70mph) they are noisier on the highway.

Coop
Exactly the sort of noise I get. I do track the car hence why I changed to S02's so I hope to see an improvement to off set the extra road noise when I go next. Thanks for the feedback

My new SO2's are much louder than the 10k Conti's I just got rid of.
BTW, Viken been noticing a quite a few post on the H2O boards lately. There would not be a "water pumper" in your future???
