Just Curious-NOT on the Track, What is the Top Speed you've achieved in your Porsche
#77
Only 135 when I just got the car. I get alot of joy just pushing down the throttle to 60 / 70 in a safe urban scenario involving coners which gives the sensation of speed.
I have a buddy back in Ireland who just got clocked on a motorcycle doing 130 OVER THE LIMIT!

I briefly reached 250 kph (approx 150 mph) but backed off as I felt the sensation of the front getting a little light. I find the diffence between 230 (easy; very stable) and 250 to be huge. For those describing 150+ how does the car feel? Do you ever feel at risk of losing control? Are the increments above 250 as noticeable?

Well I reached 290 klm/h last night. Took a pic at 280 with my mobile, so the quality is poor. Strangely the car had more. I believe I could see the magic 300klm/h number
Not bad for a standard 996 C4S (6 speed manual)
The car was VERY stable at that speed.

when I had a 928s in Europe and travelled between Amsterdam and Hamburg (about 350miles) for about 4 months once, sometimes twice a week......I maxed 280KM/H on the speedometer..don't know if they are accurate.but it felt superfast and in Germany you can keep this speed for minutes, especially at night! Here in the States the fastest I went was 138MPH.. for a couple of seconds to affraid to get a ticket.

996 Turbo here (stock engine). Top speed so far: 323 km/h (indicated). Will do some more testing as soon as summer tires are back on.
Here's a little pic of my previous record at 313km/h:
