As for price, there seems to be an advantage to jumping when you first see their products ( I first spotted each on Ebay). I paid $249 a year ago for the SmartTop and $269 several months ago for the RemoteTop (shipping included). It appears to be just the opposite of the usual premium one pays for being a "early adapter".

I am really happy with my smarttop and remotekey, bought them in a bundle with a helping toolkit. It takes about 10 minutes to install both in my boxster.
I paid 500$ for both - really cheap compared to other modifications like chiptuning or bodykits and other modifications.
