Post Will 18x8 and 18x11 wheels fit on a 2001 C2?

Hello,

Will 18x8 and 18x11 wheels fit on a 2001 C2?

I know that 18x7.5 and 18x10's will but I'm not sure about the added width of the slightly larger wheels.

Offset is the key issue here.
On an 8 x 18 front the factory offset is 52mm. So, if that is what your wheels are you are fine in the front.

The standard offset for the rears 10 x 18 is 65mm so depending in the wheel offset you should be okay with the 11's. I don't think you will be able to go much wider than an 285/30 x 18 on the rear without spacers though.

BTW... if your car is a cab which I think it is (via your signature) then you might want to be a little careful. A cab is not quite as ridged as a coupe so if you go too wide then you will add stress to frame components.

My track wheels are 18X8.5/11 using 245/35/18 - 285/30/18 Hoosiers. The car has been lowered 1.5 inches in front and about an inch in back and has -2 degrees of camber at both ends. Everything fits fine. As Loren mentions, just make sure you have your offsets right.

If the offsets are different is there a way to compensate?

Yes, usually you can adjust for different offsets and clearances with wheel spacers (and new longer bolts). You do want to keep in mind how this may affect handling - understeer vs. oversteer. It all depends on the offsets and what you need to do to fit the wheels AND balance the handling.
