Default Just Drove The Cayman S today - SWEET !

Gents, I just came back from a local Dealership event for the Cayman S - More than anything I think the handling is it's greatest value. The power was linear and responsive, throttle response was right on, the one I drove had the PASM option - I wouldn't trade my Targa for it, but man, It really has you thinking about it. I reccomend that you all take the time out to experince this little bad ***. All the best amigo's

I just came back from the same event held in Ft. Worth,Tx.
Great eats, drinks, and talked to some other enthusiasts.

Driving impressions -
First off, wow - I love the clutch! About 1/4 the effort to push in(almost effortless) compared to my 99 C-2. I wish I could do something to my clutch to equal the Caymen.

Second, what fun to drive. It feels like it weighs about 1/2 the weight of mine. Great visibility also.

Third, that intoxicating high pitch whine of the engine. Maybe I need to get a fabspeed exhaust for mine.

Fourth, sometimes it actually felt faster than mine. I guess the less weight and steering agility made it feel faster.

Only dislikes were that it felt a little too plastic on the interior - great seats though.
My wife and I had a great time redlining that sucker on the freeway!

Personally I love the stiffness of the clutch in my 996, leave the light clutches for the Hondas

The clutch will tighten up after use. I remember when I picked up my C4S I stalled it off the lot because the clutch was feather light.

I haven't driven one yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I saw the Cayman S the other day and I really liked it, much better looking in person.
