Red face Warning to anybody removing auto cut off from sports exhaust...

After following these instructions,

<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=002485#000000" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=002485#000000</a>

I discovered that by removing the 4 position jumper you also disable the doors automatically locking when you drive over 5 mph. I personally like that option but if I had to choose between the two I would rather have control over the exhaust.

The auto door lock must be enabled w/the PST2.

You just have to ask to have this enabled, should be free.

Could someone knowledgable elaborate more on this automatic door locking option?

My dealership service tech said that it requires some "codes" to be entered into the computer. This work would take about an hour and be charged for accordingly.

Currently, the only way my doors lock is when I push the switch to the right of the radio and then if its at night I have the little red indicator light shining in my face.

Anybody?

Read your owners manuals - it lists the 3 or 4 door locking options as well as the several key fob front trunk unlock/relock options that the car can be programmed to by the service dept.

Mark Jay, needing a new dealer if at all possible. If you are there for as little as an oil change or any warranty stuff, they should do this as a courtesy. As much work as checking the tire pressure fer chrissakes.

You will still have that red light--all the time. Don't know if the function of the light could be reversed, it would make much better sense.
