Question Cost to change Brake Fluid

What should it cost me to get my brake fluid changed using stock fluid? I won't be doing it myself because I don't have anywhere to do it and don't have many of the tools.

Labor rate times 1 hour.
Fluid price varies with dealers. I would expect anywhere from $9-$15 for the one liter needed.

Can the systen be bled like a conventional (non-antilock) brake system, with one person pumping the pedal and another opening the bleeder? I assume the antilock pump won't turn on with the key off(?). Is it necessary to use ATE fluid or can Castrol LMA or any good brand DOT4 fluid be used?

Lance,
<a href="http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_bleed_brakes/mult_bleed_brakes.htm" target="_blank">www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_bleed_brakes/mult_bleed_brakes.htm</a>

I bought the Motive Power Bleeder, available at many sources for ~ $42, + ATE Blue fluid.

Some people will alternate Blue vs Gold fluid to help with total flush vs just bleeding air.

Please be careful not to get ANY brake fluid near your painted surfaces..not a pretty picture.

If you don't want to do it yourself, the dealer I go to charges $99 for a point of reference.
