Just out of curiosity, what is the price on a clutch install? I am curious if it is as much a ordeal as an NSX which is about $2200-$2500 including parts. What is the price on a 993 Install?

I think very good points are being made on both sides of the leasing issue. I too took a $25K hit trading my 00 Cab with 16K miles on it for a 02. I have been looking to trade my 00 TT and the trade numbers also point to a $20-$25K hit.
As for the rebuild comments, my 02 Cab is the 13th P car I have owned and I have never had to have a rebuild. The only major problem was the tranny dropped out of my 00 Cab (right after my best friend bought it). Fortunatly, it was under warranty and Porsche replaced it with a new gearbox for free!
I would go with whatever the best deal is for you financially and purchase an extended warranty...
Good luck, you'll love the car
