996CS4 strange behaviour
Hello everyone,
1) I'm curious to know why a chip-mod will produce more relative power to a Turbo engine relative to a non-turbo engine??
2) Fadz's 2002 6sp-CS4 was carried last night for quite a strange matter. The check engine light gave warning about four times during our trip. We noticed the oil pressure indicator bouncing continuously at steady rpm's between 3&5.. this is not normal, any clues?
Thanks
Waz

We just got from the dealers, fadz and I..
I dont know but the situation feels strange. I know for a fact that the engine's timing was redone and the guy there told us that this is why we got the Check Engine light. He said that the car was misfiring on accelaration and that they fixed it... They changed the O2 sensors as well.
Moreover, they said that they wouldnt want to give us the car back until they fix the misfiring also on decelaration. That the check engine is not going on again but they have to do a finer fix.
The car has just clocked its 10,000km. Fadi's driving, I must admit, is rough but not destructive. That's what pcars are meant to be for I suppose.
They said they'd also check the oil pressure guage not being stable at fixed rpm's.
Fadi has gone 'depression mode' and says he's ready to replace it with a 2003 1.3ltr Toyota Corolla. I'm trying to convince him that the symptoms are regular and all will be well..
I need someone out there, please!, to help me convince him that his car is still The One!
Thanks!

YES, when i heard the case. He was talking all the time when i intruded and told the Porsche service manager that i don't think this could happen to a Toyota Corolla done 10,000 kms, that's all i said.
By the way he is <img border="0" alt="[sleep]" title="" src="graemlins/sleep.gif" /> sleeping upstairs in the bedroom and i can hear him snoring and roaring.
