Headlight Questions
I have two quick headlight questions:
I bought the car used and it has those headlight bezels on it. I want to take them off, but dont know what was used as adhesive to stick them on there. What is the best way to take these off?
What is the best way to take off the 'corners' on the lights? I tried doing it last night but started breaking the plastic tabs that fasten them on. Is there a proper way to disassemble these?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to aim the lights yourself? I looked at the tech article and it didn't say anything. My car has xenon's that were added by the previous owner and they seem to not be aimed correctly. How can I aim them or can I have the dealer do it without charging me an arm and a leg? thanks.

Uh... did you look in the Owners Manual? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Both headlight removal and adjustment are covered in the maintenance section of your owners manual.

Thanks for the help guys, but I already have the headlight out. Now I just need to take these cover bezels off, so I am looking for some checmical that will remove whatever adhesive was used to afix them on. I also want to take off the corners, that little plastic triangle on the side of the headlight.
Any ideas are appreciated.

It's available at most NAPA auto parts places.

The little 996 headlight corner pieces get brittle and the original brackets break off quickly when you try to remove them from the headlights. To replace the corners, they are currently $66 each. Instead, people use "Ultra Black" silicon gasket maker to affix them back to the headlights. If you wish to remove them, you will need a razor blade or sharp knife to scrape away the silicon. That black silicon is like a caulk and some headlight upgrade professionals use it to replace the headlight gasket.
Goo Gone works great for removing adhesive. Use a cloth. Do not use paper towels.
