Hi there and good day!!! I like to know if there are any mounts other then the rollbar to hook up the camera. I see the camera mount on performance parts catalog but wonder is there another thing other then a rollbar to mount the camera too. I'm participating in another DE event at Thunderhill on June 1st and would love to make a video of my track sessions. Thanks in advance. Regards. Mike

There is a product called a Hama Universal Video Camera Mount that can be found @ <a href="http://www.ioportracing.com/video.htm" target="_blank">http://www.ioportracing.com/video.htm.</a> I have neither used this product before nor am I endorsing it, however, it does look interesting. I have seen other products that are similar in design to this one, but I can’t seem to remember where at the moment.

IO Port...Got one works great.
Rubber shock pad built in works nice.
Get very smooth video. Also you can put your camera in just about any position you can think of. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

 

You will need a harness bar or harness mount to mount the camera mount. I should have my Brey-Krause Harness mount in my 01 C4 next weekend. Are you near Folsom. See my fdrmotorsports.com link for info on BK products and send me an email.

How soon is your harness bar coming in c4fdr? I imagine the harness bar from bk is the same as ioport so I wonder how easy is it to install. Is yours located on the b pillar(front seat belt). Ioport says it's just removing a bolt from each side but don't know what kind of bolt it is. I hope I don't need a special wrench to remove it and all. Are you using the harness mainly for the camera or are you installing a 5 point harness belt system? Mike
