Is there any word or speculation on running changes to the C2 or C4s for 2003?

3.8L and 340 hp are rumored.

Other than the availability of the engine Powerkit, there will be no other significant changes. Option X51 takes the power from 320 HP DIN to 350 HP DIN. The engine size will remain the same. It will be priced in the neighborhood of $10k or more.

What engine will be basis of X51 option, GT2/3 M96.76 series engine or standard 996 M96.04 series engine?

It will be the same engine as found in the existing 996 street cars. I guess that would be the M96.04. This X51 option has been available on '02 cars in the ROW.

What mods are in X51 kit, is it as extensive as the "Carrera Powerkit" for 3.4 engines?

According to a press release:

- Modified induction system
- Modified exhaust manifold
- Modified cylinder heads
- Modified ECU

0-60 mph goes from 5.0 to 4.9 seconds
0-125 mph goes from 17.5 to 16.5 seconds
Top speed rises from 178 to 181 mph
