B & M Install Question
I finally got my B & M and had time to install it. It wasn't too hard, I marked the cables( as Doug suggested) and adusted the **** height ( Bob H. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ). It feels fantastic. I have one question though, on my stock shifter there was a square/rectangle piece of plastic at the end of the pivot ball. There was not one in the B & M kit and no mention of it in the instructions. Is the B &M pivot ball supposed to have this plastic piece attached? As I said it feels great w/out it, but I'm not sure if I did it right.
Here's how it looks:

You don't need it, the B&M pivot ball O.D. is the same as the square factory piece. I' not sure why they do it this way, it may account for the increased effort going into reverse IMO. You'll like the B&M, it softens/loosens up nicely after a few miles.
