How does this set-up compare to PSS9s? In terms of ride quality, height adjustability, etc.

TIA

Different animal..no damper adjustment, only hight. Spring rates are also different from what I understand. PSS9s are a bit more aggressive...

really? I always thought JIC set-ups are much more aggressive than any coil-over system in the market (sans motons)

JIC offers different types of coilovers, from what I understand this is their basic street package...

Sport Suspension has fixed dampener rates, but includes upper monoballs so no way to soften for individual preference. I have sold lots of the JIC products previously for 964/965, 993/TT, and 996/TT. The Competition with the 15 way adjustable is the way to go if the people you are buying them from can give you some guidance on initial setup. They are a nice product. Stiffer in general than the PSS9.

Jon: I have the Competition, not the Sport. I cannot imagine the PSS9 being stiffer, just no way.

Can you explain the monoball and what that does? Also are the comps lighter? Can you adjust the camber like on the comps?

It allows for more adjustability in the set up in terms of camber, toe, etc. Also, its a metal to metal connection, removing any play.

How is the JIC Cross sport compares to X74 or M030 in terms of handling and ride quality?

I will try give a write up asap. Briefly, the X74 is great for a daily driver what want an aggressive drive (stiff) and can handle a LOW car. I really like the X74, it was such a pleasure to drive on city streets after the JIC. That said, on a very smooth track I missed the JIC, which is not a surprise. One note, the X74 is actually lower than how I had the JIC set up.

Old school post!

The JIC Sport suspension is great for street and occasionally track. It offers a twin tube design with 6 way adjustable dampening. Similar to the PSS9 but better then the factory Porsche upgrade. Where it accels is the suspension includes front camber plates and rear pillowball mounts. The JIC offers adjustable height as well, you can lower your car from 1 inch to almost 2.5 inchs.

any other questions...drop me a line.

Dan are you sure they are adjustable? I don't think mine are adjustable.
