Wheel is bent...
There is a "bend" in the lip of my stock sport design wheels. It was kindly placed there by the previous owner, and I'm thinking I should get it fixed before it causes any problems. The wheels are 2-piece, and the bend is only on the outer rim (right where the tire meets the wheel). As these things go, I think its fairly small. Does anyone have any experience with getting these straightened, or any ballpark prices I should expect from a shop. BTW, who would you contact to do something like this - tire shop, body shop? Many thanks...

That sounds like an easy job for a wheel repair shop. They will bend it back and true it up like new. Look in the Yellow Pages under wheel repair. If you don't live in a large city, you may have to go out of town.

Wheels America. $125 if they deal with unmounting, mounting the tire, otherwise $100, 24-hour service. This is where dealers send them. They have an outlet in Union City if you are in the Bay Area, check the website otherwise.
I am not affiliated at all. I had a curb scuff (no bending) repaired there and it came back perfect. But if they or a performance tire place says it's a risky repair buy a wheel. Wheel Exchange or somewhere, not necessarily too expensive.
