I was in an area with little radio reception so I hit the scan button. After not finding anything but NPR=(sucks), I push the CD button and the CD plays but the voulume reduction feature used during fm scanning interupts CD input every 8 seconds. Before choosing the CD function you must terminate the scan function on the radio=kinda wierd for a 93k car?

I am never surprised at how antiquated OEM stereos are compared to off the shelf equipment.

I went through 4 head units in my car before I gave up on having them replaced. A short list of the problems I had:
1. Volume would only go up, not down.
2. Display would go blank but radio would operate normally. Had to pull faceplate off and shut off the car to fix it.
3. CD player wouldn't let me put CDs in.
4. Tuning **** wouldn't tune.
5. Radio wouldn't shut off.

And there was more, but I can't remember all of it! The radios are junk!
