Mine was delivered on 08/02/2002 and currently has 1675 miles. I drive about 700 miles per week in my company car. I drive the 996 on weekends and on home office days. It will be a GQ for the winter. I'll have to wait until next spring to start autocrossing it.

I've got 2 more years to pay on my 99 996 and then it becomes a track car and I buy a 997. If you haven't been on the track you haven't lived!

Sunny days, weekends, driving holidays and track days only.....about 4-5,000 km per year, use a BMW 540 for daily and a Ford Explorer for when I don't want to have to worry about where to park, idiots with shopping carts, parking at the airport and such.

I see you're living in Miami Beach like I do, how about driving together to the track next time?
Were you at Homestead last weekend?

Oh, BTW, I have 993 but I'm like Ed: Weekends & preferably at the track (work commute with bicycle)

A good friend owns an '01 C-2. To date, he has just 4K miles. What a shame. I bought an '02 996TT and an '02 Boxster this past April. Both cars have over 4K. My TT is my ride of choice. I use my pickup when the weather is really bad.

My first post on rennlist...

My '02 C2 was delivered on 9/29/01 and has 5,300 miles. Mostly a weekend fun car, probably close to being a GQ--I just can't bring myself to parking in a lot where there would be other cars next to it that could ding the doors. MY 740i is my daily driver (a great sedan--with the sport package).

The '99 C2 is a weekend warrior along with the Defender. We put about 5K miles on each per year.

Explorer is the daily driver.

1999 C2 tiptronic. Is a daily driver with 60.000 kms (36.000 miles) on the odometer. Have raced it once during a track event and finished 3rd in the general category.

'01 C4 cab 18 months old 27,500 miles! Daily driver no track time (yet! too busy)I use the Jepp on the BAD winter days! But the C4 will get its snow shoes on this weekend (we had snow here in upstate NY already!!!) I also have chains for the the bad days when I might get stuck. I have the roof box carrier for the ski's (mine and 2 kids) I actually have five kids so when they start skiing the P-car will have to sit in the garage I must be nuts!

'99 996 with 31k miles. Started as a garage queen for 2 years(8k miles) then got the taste of tracking and can't find a reason not to drive the car so it's my daily ride- love the darn thing. Everything else feels like I'm riding on a boat minus life preserver : ). Regards. Mike
