Aero Kit Installation
Has anyone installed the 996 aero kit?
I had the aero kit installed on my 996 cab but the rocker panels don't seem to be correctly mounted. It seems like the panels need to be pushed down on the metal rail for a clean install - however, it seems to have lifted in a couple of places.
Has anyone done this successfully? Any advice?
(I'll take it back to the body shop ... but it would be great if I could fix it myself first)

Mike,
Thanks for the install page but you didn't go into a lot of detail on the side skirts. I have the TSB but it mentions using templates and some other parts that don't seem to be in the installation kit. Did they change the mounting (use of tape) after that TSB? I've got sideskirts with installed tape, and a pile of U brackets for the the bottom....

I have to admit that I chickened out and got my dealer to do the sideskirts. I was afraid of messing up the placement.
My side skirts were the newer version that you tape onto the car, so no drilling involved - a few bolts on each and then tape running down the side of the car - my dealer hated them and we got into an argument over them being reluctant to install and OEM part onto a car. I was not happy, but eventually they agreed to do the install, but refused to warranty them.
