Default Wait on, thats my alarm sounding!!

Watching TV at about 1030pm and an alarm at the rear of my property starts to sound. Thinking 'They'll turn it off any minute now....2 minutes passes....nothings happening....still sounding.....I open the window...'thats the Porsche!!"
Sprouted wings getting down to the garage which was still locked. Open door to find the car lit up like a christmas tree. Internal/external lights, horn etc flashing /sounding. Nothing unusual in the garage. I tried to use the key fob and nothing happened, so I use the key, opened door and it stopped.

Any thoughts will be gratefully received!!

Heart rate now slowing down

p.s. started car and it ran. Re-armed car.

my alarm has been randomly going off a few times a day for the last few days. anyone have any ideas? it was real windy (40 mph) the other day, HOWEVER, it has still been happening with calm winds the last day or so. I personally saw it happen a few times and can assure you NOTHING touched it.

It sounds like a bad sensor, When you are re arming the car, is it giving you a warning beep?

On a Boxster the usual cause is an insect flying around.

Any dealer can check the alarm control unit as the reason the alarm went off is store in the unit.

Jason, check the switches in your arm rest, glove compartment, front bonnet, door switches etc. It could be the imobilizer or even the tracker. BTW where are you UK or US or ?? FYI, the alarm systems differ on UK cars to the US ones.
