Post US GT3 ride height vs ROW

Is the ride height on US GT3's the same as ROW or do we have the SUV look, like I had on my sport-suspensed 993 back in '95? It's a real pain getting Euro springs and having the whole thing realigned...

Ride height, among other suspension settings, are adjustable in the GT3. It will probably arrive conforming to DOT regs. In short, as high as the SUV.

I don't think so. The US GT2's were the same height as the Euro ones. In addition, the Tech specs on the German P site, and the US site, for height, are the same.

The salesman information booklet distributed to US dealers says, in comparing the GT3 to a normal 996: "the ride height is lowered by 1.18 inches(30 mm)"

jac- have you actually gotten your car yet to confirm that?? If so, why don't they sell all 911's here in ROW height? I always thought it was a regulation thing and if so why wouldn't the GT3 have to conform too? Not that I'm complaining...

DOT gives waivers for small volume cars, if it was a DOT reg to begin with...

For example, Lotus has some waivers for the number of airbags that have to be in the US Elise coming next year.

I don't really think the delivered ride height is such a big deal. The ride height is adjustable. Here is the link to the GT3 site with that statement: GT3 suspension

Unlike the US vs ROW 030, you do not have to change parts in the GT3 to get the height you prefer. Regardless of the ride height on delivery, just have the dealership set it to the competition height, which I presume is 30 mm lower than std, as part of the dealer prep.

Height is not a safety or DOT issue, it's an collision insurance issue. Like everyone else I'am waiting....
