Default Beck Spyder Replica

What do you guys think about the Beck 550 replica. My brother-in-law saw a show on the Speed Channel about it and is very interested in one. Looks like a fun car but not sure about owning a replica. What are your thought?

I have heard nothing but good things about them. I would love to own one. They are actually faster than the original. If you look on their website the review section has much more info.

If you can, buy a replica from "Vintage" instead of "Beck"
Vintage has a much better construction and fit/finish.
I reaserched it intensively, and have one on order from Vintage.

I'm not crazy about replicas either, but I'd drive a Beck or a Caterham in an instant.

I have always admired the 550 for its clean timeless design with amazing performance for what it is. The Subaru option would be a stunning performer, maybe a little too hot if it retains the original's handling characteristics. As a kit it looks relatively simple. Does anyone know if you can get these licenced in Canada?

Just for the sake of asking, what would a non-replica (real) bring $$$?
