Default pics of new carbon fiber interior!

OK, so I'd love to tell all of you that I had this interior kit custom made at Gemballa to match my paint (Mirage Metallic), but I didn't. They've had this kit for sale on ebay forever with no takers as it really is kind of a weird color. They were pushing it as "silver", but it is not silver. It is more of a goldish-silver and would probably look hideous on a silver Porsche. It just so happens that it matches my paint exactly. I couldn't be happier, having a very custom colored cf interior.

Here's the pics- The first one is to show the color match.

Next up is the PSS9 suspension upgrade - still waiting for the parts to get here. I'll do before/after pics once I get it installed.

Wow...looks really nice. See you were selective in which parts to CF. I like it.

I'm not sure, but it appears that factory parts were used with carbon fiber overlayed on top and finished appropriately. Each piece looked like, smelled like and fit like the original factory pieces. Screw holes were exact spot on when installing the new pieces. Taking it apart was the bulk of the work as well as figuring out HOW to take things apart. The toughest pieces were the long skinny dash trims as they are screwed in from behind with tiny screws with absolutely no access. Total job took about 8 hours, including beer breaks and sandwich break.

Thanks! My wife hates it - she says it looks too flashy. But I really like it.

I wasn't actually selective in which parts to change out. I bought the complete kit and installed the entire thing. I didn't buy the Gemballa CF steering wheel and shifter, as I have a tip and neither part would work with my car. It would've been nice having the matching gold/silver steering wheel and shifter, but I had no choice. Plus by not buying those pieces, I was able to save a bundle from Gemballa.

Here's the kit as it was advertised on ebay:

They are all factory parts that are laminated with the silver carbon.

Here are some shots of our standard carbon, factory matched:

Turbo Splitters

Sill Finishers

Seat Brackets

Mirror Mounts

Mirror Housings

Ignition/Hazards

Front Center Console

It looks ok, but very gold colored, would be hideous on a silver car I agree. Eric's stuff looks the best I think.

Well, I have been contemplating black CF for a long time, but when I came upon this stuff, it occurred to me that it would likely match my paint exactly. It is a goldish-silver. I decided to go for it as I would have easily spent the same amount hunting down second hand black CF items piece-by-piece. This seemed like a... "golden" opportunity. Couldn't resist...
