Default Unsprung Weight Question

I have an '02 C4S. I'm considering upgrading my turbo look wheels to the hollow spoke turbo wheels to reduce wheel weight by 20-25%. Previously, I had surprisingly noticable benefits when I upgraded my stock BMW M5 wheels for lightweight BBS RGR wheels, so I am a believer in the benefits of reducing unsprung weight and rotational mass. Does anyone on the board know if there might be negative consequences if I upgrade to the lighter hollow spoke turbo wheels?

Well, some of the lighter wheels are not made to withstand the abuse of daily road abuse.

Agreed. And if you plan on tracking the car I would advise against it.

Plenty of TT owners drive daily and go to the track on the stock wheels.

I would not have any worries about the factory hollow spokes you mention in your original question. Aftermarket, possibly. Cheap aftermarket, yes.
