Okay, so my 2000 C2 was previously owned. The last owner didn't put too many miles on it, but he did scratch the center console up pretty good.
Anyone have any recommendations on how to clean the console up? Any particular brand of vinyl cleaner, etc?
Yes, I know that the center console is an afterthought when I have one of the nicest engines purring behind me, but I am a stickler for cleanliness!

They are coated with a texture , which I have heard called soft touch. Then painted what ever color. To make it perfect you would have to match the texture, then paint. I think the cheapest way may be to buy a used one like on ebay.

I've got the CF center console and absolutely recommend it. I've forgotten to post pictures of it haven't I? I took the opportunity to switch out the E-brake to a CF and had a SSK installed at the same time. U'll love it!

Call Eric at www.bumperplugs.com (rennlist sponsor and good guy).
Get the center console painted to match the body color and while you're at it, install the non smoker's kit (replaces ashtray) painted to match.
I have both of these options (painted console was Porsche Exclusive OEM and Eric did the non smoker's kit (as well as rear bumperettes painted to match and of course front bumperplugs) and they look very nice.
