Post Getaway in Stockholm 2

I just downloaded from Kazaa the second version of Stockholm Getaway: search "Getaway in Stockholm 2" (344MB mpeg - 30 min)

For those of you who are not familiar with it, they are two homemade videos of street racing in stockholm with on car cameras (including police car overtaking and fly-by's at highspeed at 7'30", 11'52" and 13'52" of the video, of course the police cars could never keep up).

On the second one (much better than the first version), instead of the 911 Turbo, they used a Supra (reached in the video over 300km/h) and a Escort Cosworth (4WD rally based Ford) tunned both to 450HP. The drivers are very good at it too (the scandinavian dirt and snowy backroads are a great driving teachers )

Very very interesting.

A third version was released a few weeks ago, featuring a Honda NSX, boats, helicopters. An improved production, with police too.

Still even if the 1st Porsche episode is "crappy",
I like its home made style (fake cops though...)

They have become quite famous up here and have generated a quite few lookalikes and lots of really home made, completely crazy videos. This summer, there were regular casualties of "kids" in tuned cars doing street-racing. Bad driving skills and public surroundings have been a factor.

I am not a basher and although the commercial part in this GIS "thing" is discutable, I am just angry on how it has affected the frequency of the police stopping me to wave a warnings finger...

I have heard about kids driving on spanish freeways in opposite direction for the thrill of it. True?

It always happens, the "don't do this at home kids" never works.

Yes, very true and very frequent. A friend of my father even got ran out of the road in the highway by one. A trend here usually done just for the thrill of it and for show.

Downloading Getaway 3 now...

Turbo-Look & Bilstein 996C4:

Kazaa is the best one for downloading video/movies from the net along with edonkey. I suggest you download the ad-ware free version "kazaalite" from kazaalite.com, its quick to download and really easy to install. Other program you can use is probably edonkey.

All FULL three versions of Getaway in Stockholm are in kazaa (if you don't find it, disconnect & connect kazaa and search again), some files named stockholm getaway are fake ones so make sure files are named as bellow AND SPECIALLY the same size and format:

GETAWAY IN STOCKHOLM 1:
File name: 911_Stockholm_Getaway.mpeg (110.059KB)

GETAWAY IN STOCKHOLM 2:
File name: Getaway in Stockholm 2 .avi (344.650KB)

GETAWAY IN STOCKHOLM 3 (released Oct 12 '02):
File name: skit.avi (719.252KB)
I'm downloading this one now and seems like the real thing, if not I'll let you know tomorrow. Appears under "Getaway in Stockholm 3 (Brand New)" in kazaa but file name is actually skit.avi. There is a fake one under "Getaway in Stockholm 3 (full)" of 30,000KB or 163,000KB but its a FAKE!

Cmoss & 993RS,
Thanks, those two pages are great source for sportcar videos

BTW what is wrong with that Ruf at Nurburgring (from Cmoss' link) or is he doing it in purpose? As soon as he tips the front, there goes the back-end out on every corner!

I suspect that's just the way he likes it, and has it set-up as such. Turn-in oversteer, before-apex oversteer, power-oversteer, jiggle the wheel oversteer. Fun fun fun!
