Default Just bought C4S. Is this sound normal?

I just picked up a Porsche Certified Lapis Blus 2002 C4S. I traded in my 2001 BMW M5. Wow, what a difference! The M5 is an amazing luxury sport sedan, but the visceral attitude of the C4S provides a rush I never experienced in the M5. One concern: when I accelerate hard, I hear a "clack" sound from the gearbox when I shift from 1st to 2nd gear, and again when I shift from 2nd to 3rd. I don't hear this during normal driving/shifting. Is this normal?

Yes. Wait, I mean, no.

Welcome to the board. Get that noise checked out and post some pics of your car when you get a chance -- it is a rule here: new members must post pics.

The answer is always NO. Should have gotten a Capital One.

Ahhhh....I'm thinking the answer is NO!

The sounds you should be hearing in 1st and 2nd is the air being pushed out of your lungs as you are squeezed back in the seat but that one doesn't sound good to me.

Just a thought here. When I got my car I found that there was a slight clonk! on left turns. Turned out to be the EZ-Pass that I had stored in the arm rest.

Hope it turns out to be something trivial.

Barry
