The evo kit by itself is 11,500 for a 3.6, plus 2-4k install( 16k vs 20k, same ballpark guys). I think the jury is still out, a lot of sc guys probably wouldn't do it again I'll bet. Not as problem free as some would have you believe. Maybe Kirby and Robyn would chime in here?
Totally illegal in Ca. The class of this mod group is clearly Ruf, warranty speaks (or lack of) for itself. They took over two years to get it right, and I bet you won't get any CEL's with a Ruf kit.
BTW, what ever happened with your suspension Yetis?

After talking to some guys with the evo sc... I would consider the ruf if they don't have the same problems as evo... like the check engine light or hoses coming off. For me... I can't upgrade to a turbo because I like the convertible and that still costs way over $100k for a used turbo cab.

If ruf doesn't have the other problems and they pass ca smog... then that would be something I would probably have to seriously consider...

Chris, we are on the same page on the SC. As for the suspension, well the wife bought an SUV which I drive for commuting purposes,. So now the Pcar and its very tight/finicky suspension, is mainly a weekend/track cars. I still need to do some things with JIC, to verify everything is ok. I thought when I took it to RPM a couple weeks ago, they would take care of it. I think they were focuses on other things and it slipped through the cracks, amoung other things. I was ready to rip the JIC and go ROW, but now I think I will stick it out, for now.

i am going to pull the trigger on a SC this week. i am going that route because i have a cab and a tt cab is just way too much money.

i have been debating between the EVO and the TPC kit. i have have ridden in a TPC car. Very impressive to say the least. I really liked the power delivery. I hope to get out in an EVO car this week for a comparison.

i'm not evening considering the ruf product. i'm sure it's a good product, but way overpriced in typical RUF fashion. seems like you just paying for the name and the warranty. everything with the RUF name is more money, whether it's pedals or mufflers.

there are aftermarket companies that offer warranties on SC'd motors. EVO is offering one through another company right now.

a shop in tampa just did a ruf 996. i did not get to see it. the shop arranged the sale and ruf flew someone in to do the install.

Here is a pic of the Ruf SC installed. Looks pretty slick to me, not like the usual aftermarket job IMO.

I'm not really sure, they sent me an illustration once but it was hard to tell, I tried to post it but the file was too big. I would just call them.
