it is going to be a big job.
a partial to do list
intercooler to top of engine ala 993 TT
E-gas intigration which means......
wiring harness swap, pedals, DME, insterments, ABS, etc. (it is all intigrated)
A cheaper option would be to go with a Motec so similar setup
the TT tranny can be used with a nose cone swap to eliminate the forward drive shaft -

Hi Rob
i will have all the parts that you listed here [its a complete wreck]
will the TT engine fit the c2 engine bay ?
do i have to change 1/4 panel skins for the intercoolers ?
can i set up this conversion as a rear wheel drive only [what i am trying
to say is...do i have to set it up as an AWD or by not installing the frt drive
shaft frt diff and frt axels i can get away with it as a rwd vehicle ?
if i can get away with a rwd only ,do i have to change the front suspension ?
my c2 is a 6spd the TT is a tip .......would this be a problem ?
PLZ .......INPUT

interesting,
This is my Opinion only - so don't take it as i have done this.
The Tip control interfaces with the DME - so there will be an issue there - you will need a 6 Speed DME at the last to eliminate this issue (Same intigration with the 964 series and above)
the intercoolers can be done either on the sides as a stock TT would do or rerouted to the top of the engine (check out some of 9ff's narrow body turbo cars)
I have no idea if the 996 C2 tranny (G96/30) will mate with the Turbo block - the GT-3 Tranny (G96/90) will (they both use the so called GT block - same as the old 964 block)
even if it mates with the block the turbo motor has 100+ extra HP so it probably will not last. No reason you have to use the Front drive line as it is purely mechanical.
Like i said it is a huge project and at the end of the day - you will probably have enough sunk into it that you could have bought a turbo, Plus the resale value of it after it's done will be Nil.
Not trying to discurage you, but....i just don't think it is worth it unless you have a very specific purpose in mind (similar to 9ff whom wanted to top 200mph as an advertising for thier business, they are shooting for 250mph)

what if i will use the tiptronic ?
i like the 6spd better but if it will be needed i dont mind droping
the tiptronic with the tt engine!

I think the chance to get this right for a non-professional is slim to none, since there will be a lot to do. And you won't have re-sale value that would match your investment in the end, look at earlier generation cars that have added the Protomotive turbo kits. I say sell your car and get a TT.
How salvagable is the TT? Maybe it would be cheaper to reuild the TT. Otherwise it's a do-able project but expensive. Maybe talk to Ruf about using all the TT parts and converting your C2 into a narrow body Ruf Turbo R.
It is DEFINITELY possible and pretty straightforward actually*** However, it still a big job and will need a specialist who's experienced in these types of conversions on porsches. Contact Protomotovie in FL, he actually told me to considering have him do the same conversion you're looking to do when I suggested having my 3.6L C2 built for boost and TT'ed. If you already having the entire TT powertrain it's going to be much cheaper, probably $10-to-$15K in labor to complete the conversion. But your car will be an absolute rocketship**
Cupcar: Considering what RUF wants for the SC, I can only imagine the $. The RUF SC does however look very nice. I wonder how conservative the 80 WHP kick is?
Better off rebuilding the TT or trading in your car on a TT. The resale value on a moderately modded car is next to nothing (just ask the sc guys)and a total bastardization project car is less than nill. Alot of guys who have these cars end up returning them to stock to make a sale, sorry, but gotta think realistically and semi long term.

agreed. or go the super-charger route if you have the craving for additional power. Save yourself the headache
