Default Heated Seats

Looking for information on installing heated seats in a 2000 C4 Cab that was not so equipped from the factory. I know that I can get a used set of seats, or buy the replacement cushions/inserts from Porsche, along with the swtiches and dash trim. But the dealer says the wiring harness on my car would not have all the wires for the seats, switched, relays, etc. as each harness is customized for the specific car. Also, what relays etc. might be required? Has anybody ever tried (successfully) to do this mod?

Recently upgraded a friends 1998 Lexus LS400 to heated from seats purchased elements on ebay. Can be done but take your time and do it right.

There are a couple of installation instructions floating around the web. The biggest challenge, if I remember right, is building your own wiring harness and splicing into the cars harness (Not prewired unless it was optioned).
