It looks brighter than it does in the picture, that's for sure. I've seen a couple, a 3.6 turbo and a 993 turbo S, in that same shade of green. When the time comes to sell it, you might not get what you're asking for it.

For $25K I'd buy it, strip it out, and turn into a one sweet track car....

If you're female go for it, otherwise I don't think they make manly enough wheels to balance that color....

I'm with you on this.. Only for show that's the kind of color that wins trophies.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful color, car.

Send me your email address and I'll sent you the poster at left.

Jade Mist appears to be very close to my 2001 AWD C4 in Wimbledon Green.

Better picture...note the green marker led, changes to amber with turn signals.

Porsche, from which all GOOD things flow.

2001 C4 colors derived from this.

crikey, wimbledon green is not for those shy, retiring types

The '99 is Ocean Jade Metallic. We still have a boatload of plugs we did in that color. We did a few bumperettes years back too. So I know there are some of these cars out there, but very few. Not a big seller, guess that's why it was only offered for a year or two.

If it strikes you as the car you want to drive everyday, get it. Otherwise, pass.

I once test drove a dark green color 996. Salesperson offered me a $10k discount during the test drive. That's how desperate he was. The dark green color was much more subtle than jade mist. Jade mist is a color for a cute car and hardly the right color for a serious sports car. Given the car has 88k mi too, I'd think $25k is not a bargain. I'm seeing 1999 996 coupes under $30k these days w 50-70k mi. Keep looking unless you like the color. If you ever plan on selling it, don't even both thinking about buying it. It'll be worth >$18k when you get it over 100k mi.
