c4bliss: I know you wrote something, but all I see is checkered flags. Or lack thereof.

Rob,
I think a Boxster in F would be interesting. It's one of my favorite classes to watch. I wonder if it would be competitive with the very well developed 944S2s and early 911s?

I agree that PCA would be well served to put the 3.4 in D and leave the 3.6 in C but I don't see it happening. The 3.4 would beat up on the 993s and most other D cars so there would be a lot of resistance. On the other hand, PCA should take advantage of the mass of early 996s that it would bring into club racing.

Ray,
What car did you have in the DE? It was a pretty busy weekend but I did manage to watch some of the DE.

completely agree.
let's see how the Spec series works out for the boxster. But i do think that a well developed boxster would have a shot at the front in F - it would have to be on the bleeding edge of the rules but....
F is a fun class with lots of cars normally that is very evenly matched - very fun to watch, i agree.

we could petition PCA for 06' or 07' - i'm not actively racing right now so it would have to be you. to make your case stronger you might have to sandbag a bit But i do think the appeal of the 3.4 would be greatly enhanced if it fit in a lower class. All IMHO of course

"the lack thereof" was the point!

hmm... spec boxster in the works sounds interesting. i had contemplated spec miata for a while and got pretty close to doing it but didn't want to part with the porsche. this sounds better, but now i'll be parting with a 911. though i did read something about a spec 911 series thrown in the mix as well? or was that for early model 911's?

seems like the 3.4L is the misfit of the 996's?
