This is my opinion, but the only way you're gonna move that car is to put it back to 100% stock, or as close as you can. Then price it accordingly. Sell the aftermarket parts separately. Or take it to Barrett-Jackson and take your chances, a lot of people are spending a lot of money on cars at that auction.

I totally agree with both of you and do/did have plans to put the car back to stock. But, I've come to a point where I really don't care how much I get for the car. I don't mind losing the money for the aftermarket parts, comes with the territory. I really just want to move it. If someone makes me a decent offer they could have a great deal and part the car out themselves and get some money back. I know I've had several PM's about buying the blower.

no offense dude but price it accordingly.

if its a CPO porsche then it may command the top dollar you are looking for. a quick autotrader search found 2002 c2's from 48.9K. in the state it is in maybe somewhere in between (if the buyer cares about the mods).

so let's see...48.9k for a 2002...mine is 2003 so lets assume 49-50k. About 28k in mods which we all know doesn't mean jack. But if I sold the stuff seperately it would go like this "I think". 6k for the SC, 2k for the rims/tires, 1k for the wing, bodykit, clear bra, PSS9's, yada, yada. You see where this is going.

If someone wanted it for 59-60k and parted it out, we're at the magic autotrader #. I'm just too damn lazy to put the car back to stock. If and when the time comes for a new car I'll probably just trade it in if it's not sold. I don't know what car I want to replace it with yet...I can't make up my mind so it's not urgent to sell. But I think if it was out of my garage I would be more motivated to get a new car.

But like my friends say....gee if it doesn't sell I'm stuck with a Porsche. Such a rough life. hahaha

Dell, I'm considering your offer.

Kirb, I know how you feel, I was offered good money for the car ,but the guy wanted it back to stock, I told him if he wanted the car it would be the way it sat, I wasn't in the mood to go back to stock, then it hit I said to my self F%$k Him I am keeping it.If you decide to part it out, I think it will sell faster , but there is always that one person that will buy thae way it is. Stick to your guns it WILL sell, how could it not its one of the nicest 996 Ever, and I mean that. I think the car would look better with black calipers...WOW i have some black ones, because your a renn brother I will trade for your ..EWWWW red ones!

Hey Kirby, I was at 969 last week getting some work done and saw your car. Looks great! Too bad you have to sell, but I'm sure someone will be very happy.

Kilrgt, thanks for the kind works. I don't doubt it'll sell one day, just have to find that "one" person. When I do I'm going to give someone the best damn deal possible. Like I keep saying, someone just make a reasonable offer and we'll talk.

Gnome, thanks! I try and keep the car pristine!

Dell, OK!

Kirb - where have you been listing it? People told me no one wanted my 04 BMW 5 series because it was a stick. I went several weeks without a call on it and thought about trading it for a lot less, then a woman in Iowa called and took it. Since then I have had about 7 calls for it. Hang in there. You do, however, need to get it in front of the right audience. Have you put in PCA or any of the other semi organized race type clubs? Other option is to list it on eBay with a decent reserve.
