Hey Eric, just didn't want this thread...like many other threads turn into a Debate. Just wanted it to stay on the subject at hand...I hate when a thread is good, then someone happens to disagree and all hell breaks loose. Not that, that ws going to happen here, but you never know.
In any case, how the heck have you been Eric? I just IM'd you. J.D. emailed me the other day...Rejex overhaul?
Edit: And I DO appreciate you trying to defend my position. I would do the same for you.

I feel compelled to defend Kirby as well. Although I haven't bought anything from him yet (one day, though...), I think items that are of significant savings should be posted here. I agree that items of small discounts should not be posted all over the place, but everyone here seems to be very conscious of not stepping on toe many toes. I actually enjoy seeing what kinds of incredible deals these guys post here. Vivid, Kirby, etc., have been doing an admirable job of not littering this forum with random sales posts, just key ones that people here have asked for in the past - Fabspeed, CF console, etc., that I've personally asked for.
Kirby, no worries you didn't annoy me at all, quite the contrary I enjoy your posts and I think a little friendly debate is a healthy thing. I'm sorry that the thread got side tracked, but as a long time member I have noticed a spike in vendor posts over the last year or so, which is a two edged sword. It's a good thing when the vendors offer good deals to Rennlist members etc, and not such a good thing when it comes off as a constant sales pitch. Just my .02, and you probably have some change coming
hey doug, sorry but i will respectfully disagree. it really doesn't clutter up the board, unlike the barrage of RMS threads
. on any given day the most "vendor/rennlist sponsor" for sale ads we'll see are three - sharkwerks, 969 motorsports and vivid racing. 3 out of 40 threads.

Doug, my fellow Texan, I totally understand your concern. Btw, I'm glad our forum doesn't ramp up like the OT Forum, my god, those guys can get vicious. The 996 Forum is such a great community of people (getting that warm and fuzzy feeling now)
. Now get back to work!

Hey Karlooz, when I took my car to the local Pcar dealership for some bodywork they also (without my asking) managed to get rid of the haze on my CF interior parts! Two months later and they all still look like new. I'll have to PING them to see what they did... It was so appreciated.

Hi Everyone,
My first post here. Thanks to Kirby and 969 Motorsports for working with us on the special intro pricing for the center consoles.
I wanted to address a few questions that have come up in the thread.
First off, our Porsche carbon laminate parts are all handmade made in Belgium. These are not imported from China or any other country. We are focused on producing a quality product that will really stand out in your interior. With interior carbon, since let's be honest, it is all cosmetic, we focus on getting the carbon weave perfect and a nice glassy finish.
As for OEM parts turning cloudy, Porsche has and does use a number of suppliers over the years and not all have stood up. My partner has supplied carbon parts to Porsche in the past and does so today. All of our parts use BASF lacquer that has a UV inhibitor included. The key to maintenance of our products is the use of the proper cleaning agent. Strong cleaning products attack all surfaces including ours and can hurt the clear coat. We actually recommend Pledge, yes the Pledge you use on your wood furniture, for cleaning our parts. A soft cloth or micro fiber wetted with Pledge will keep the surface in good shape and result in an interior that will look good for a long time.
If you have any questions or any comments feel free to contact me directly. For the console special please talk to 969. MAcarbon will have a booth at Concorso Italiano this Friday Aug 19th where you'll be able to look at all our products as well as an installed 996 cab interior.

my few cents...
I could be wrong, but I though the 'point' of being a paid sponsor of a forum such as this (other than perhaps just sending money to support to a great place) is so the paid sponsors can 'advertise' and talk about their products / services IN the forums, no?
I imagine that both the paid members and the paid sponsors are important to financially enable Rennlist to be here for everyone to enjoy. I think the rules John D has set up and the way he set up advertiser / sponsors (as I understand it) is positive for the overall 'good' of the forum and it's user / members.
I saw the MAcarbon stuff at 969 Saturday and it does indeed appear to be very high quality.

Yes, unless your OEM one has faded with time, like a post mentioned above.
