John D., How about a vendors area
There seems to be a lot of vendors posting on Rennlist these days trying to sell their products etc., maybe it's time for an area on the board just for them. That way the individual discussion boards could get back to discussing all things Porsche.

That's a good idea, but you know what I think would happen. We'd get our Vendor area and then we would get posts like...Check out this link to a great offer...I think you'd still get as many vendor posts in this section telling you about another post.
Now I know I've just recently become a vendor, but I'm saying this as Kirby who posts and reads here also. Most of the vender posts in this section have been OK. I mean on other boards it's out of control, but here in Rennlist it's actually tame. Not a lot of people are trying to sell cars, watches or animals and children so it's not so bad IMO.

I don't think it was you that they were targeting Kirby. I think that it is the overwhelming amount of replies that ask for opinions and feedback on "x" product/mod/upgrade/etc and then the next reply instead of an opinion is, "x" product is good, but "y" product is much better, I can hook you up with a great deal.

On a related note - one thing that I have seen on other boards is a forum where members can post what they are looking to buy - and interested vendors can post or PM them their best price.
This allows users to get the best prices - and the vendors to see the real results of their sponsorship to the board.

I have had nothing but a good time with some of the sponsors. But to satisfiy everyone maybe there should be a rule about after an initial chat you need to take it to PM,IM or hey just pick up the phone and call.
