New Guy with 996 - Production Numbers?
Greetings,
I purchased my first Porsche, a 2001 Rainforest Green 996 C2, two weeks ago. It is by far the best car I've ever owned (Ford Mustang Guy). Let me apologize upfront - I did not bring a digital camera with me while I'm attending a school for the Navy so I don't have any pics to post.
I was invited to a Porsche gathering in Dartmouth, MA last weekend where there were over 40 Porsches in attendance. I had the only green car there and was told that not many 911's were sold in this color. I've been searching the web for the last couple of hours for 996 production numbers (including this site). Does anyone have this information or know where I can find it? Thanks in advance.

At the 997 launch in Liverpool my 996 was used as a back-drop, along with a 993, 964 and 356. The OPC put a small sticker on my car giving details of mileage and purchase costs together with the production numbers of all 986 & 996 cars todate... 440,000
