Default Would Anyone Like A Free Set Of PCCB Disks?

I have a new (0 miles) set of PCCB Disks (350 mm x 34 mm front, 350 mm x 28 mm rear). I would be happy to give them to anyone who will give a $10,000 tax deductible donation to Colorado State University -- Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital-Animal Cancer Center.

Ohhh...It's a $10,000 version of 'free'. Must be a new definition that I was not aware of before.

You are kidding right? Nothing free about that. Can't stand when crap like this is posted. Your title needs to say EXACTLY what you are getting at.

Saw something like this on eBay once. Guy said $.01 and $400 shipping for a set of rotors.

Weak.

The donation you give is 100% tax deductible, and in most cases this can result in a significant reduction of your taxes to the point where it is free.
Charitable donations are a large portion of my individual tax strategy and should be for most people in the porsche income brackets.
The point here is you can put you money to good use and acquire a set of the PCCB disks as an added bonus, but your real motivation should be to give to a good cause.
This is entirely different than the 400.00 shipping and handling charge example above. For instance Bob is loosing the cost of the disks (which is not personally tax deductible, btw) on the deal.
Anyway it's a good cause - My eldest Australian Shepherd died last year from cancer so this hit's close to home.

Thank you. And, of course, I'd pay the cost of shipping and handling. In any event, giving a contribution to save animals and for cancer research did not seem to me an evil motive.

Sorry if that came out wrong. I never said nor intended to state you motives were evil. Just didn't agree with the way it was done. There is no such thing as "free" when you ask somebody to give a set donation.

As for the tax donation, I donate a lot as part of my strategy as well not to mention the benefit of feeling good about doing something for a great cause.

My analogy was not the best (eBay) but the only thing that I could think of quickly.

No biggie, just thought your thread should read "set of PCCB's to first $10K donation to cancer research"

I'd rather donate $10,000 to human cancer research, it's not that I don't care about the animals but I think we should work on curing cancer in people first.

If I was in the market for PCCB rotors I don't think this is a bad deal.

please by all means Donate to the charity of your choice (human or otherwise)

as a side note many of the treatments that are pioneered in animals have the possibility to be eventually successful in humans - there is a delta in the legislation involved which allows for more innovative treatments in animals, the promising ones can then move to the human study/trial phase. So there is a correlation.
(i have an oncologist in the family, but am by no means an expert)
Either way, please give to the charity of your choice.

Happily an even larger contribution was made (not by anyone on this board).
